VOGUE girl (V.A.) ─ I really enjoy watching tvN's <Let's Eat>. The people around me were really surprised, saying "Did Yoon DuJun act that well?"

Yoon DuJun It's not to that point, but really (laughs)?
─ That's why I wanted to meet you. I'm curious to what happened and what the main cause for the change is. I feel as if you've improved quickly.

DuJun The script and character matched well with me. In my opinion, I think that's the reason. I still lack a lot of experience so I can't say I've made improvements. It's not awkward to act. I don't feel the resistance for it. I think it's only to that point.

─ Then can we think that the 'Goo DaeYoung' from the drama and the real Yoon DuJun is similar to each other?
DuJun The basic dispositions are similar but the way of talking is totally different from me. I continuously thought about how to express that. Rather than being a traditional drama, it was closer to a sitcom. I thought about how to make my way of talking funny but at the same time natural. Even when I think about myself, there are some funny aspects of me. When I try to talk logically, the hand gestures sometimes got awkward. I thought about moments when, for example, I'm in a public/formal setting or when I'm talking with the CEO, when I'm asking or complaining against the company to gain hints for my acting.

─ The Goo DaeYoung character that Yoon DuJun is acting seems to like a well fitted clothe. Congratulations in meeting a well matching character. However, I feel that you might feel distressed even when everyone is saying "You're doing well, you're doing well."

DuJun When I monitor myself, I can see areas where I need to improve on. I still feel discomfort when I act, because it doesn't come out as I have practiced. The good thing is that the director's personality is great. He takes care of me warmly and also makes joke. Because I feel close to him, I gained courage to try this and that.
─ They say when actors see a great script, they'll feel it. Is it really like that?DuJun I don't think I've arrived to that point yet but I had felt "this will be fun" strongly. I read the script while thinking, "This guy is weird, but funny. I think it'll be fun if I do it".

─ I think that you do feel a connection with someone if you eat with them.

DuJun That's why the filming atmosphere was really good. During the filming, our laughter didn't stop.

─ I'm jealous of the fact that you eat tasty food for each episode. Which one was the tastiest?

DuJun Even though it seems like a short scene, it takes the longest to film the scene where we eat the food. There's the time to set the food and the camera setting also takes up time too. First I wondered how to eat the food so that it'll look tasty, but when the tasty food was in front of me, I would eat without thinking about that. The way to eat tastily is to really eat it tastily. When we're filming a scene with food, I starve myself on that day. The tastiest food was the grilled eel. Later, I was reminded of it so I took my parents to a close by eel restaurant but it wasn't as good as the place we filmed in. All the places that come out in the drama are in reality places famous for their food and taste.

─ It was a bit hard to watch because you ate so well. It's a drama that asks for late night meals so I tried not to watch it at night. Do you eat everything well? You're not picky on what you eat?

DuJun I can eat everything except for beef's liver.

─ You were a football player before you debuted as a singer. It feels like athletes eat more than ordinary people, is that true?DuJun No, I don't eat a lot. I like to eat whatever's tasty. I don't like the feeling of being too full. I like the feeling when you're hungry and looking forward to eating. When you wait for tasty food, especially when you're waiting for an ordered food and the doorbell rings! My heart beats.

─ Like chicken?

DuJun I like chicken the best. It's one of the food that ranks the highest. When I was little my uncle would sometimes come over with chicken and I think my love for chicken started then. I don't care about the brand or type but try out all of the new chicken menus. Only chicken! I don't like chicken breast salad.

─ Weren't there any side effects while filming a food drama? Like an increase in your weight.

DuJun There wasn't really a change to my weight. For me, I don't do diet but I don't exercise too. I don't have muscles. I don't feel the necessity in growing muscles. I also don't get picky with what I eat. When I'm hungry and there's something tasty in front of me, then I would eat it till I'm full. However, when my body finishes its day's worth of working and prepares to close down, then I don't eat from then on. I feel that around 11PM.

─ The most memorable scene from all the movies, dramas, comedy that you've watched till now?

DuJun There's a lot but if I have to choose one then I would choose the classic <Tazza: The High Rollers>. I think I've watched it more than 30 times. I remember all the lines and scenes from the movie but the best is the last scene. Uncle Goni runs a Chinese-Korean restaurant. He goes to find his uncle and mother to return the money he stole from his older sister before. He doesn't go himself but orders Ko GwangRyeol (acted by Yu HaeJin). In that scene senior Yu HaeJin's acting was so funny that I watched it numerous times. At first it was funny, but when I started to watch it continuously I was amazed and thought that he was a really amazing actor.

─ Growth, improvement, change. When I think of Yoon DuJun nowadays, these words come into mind. When you see your life in general, when do you think was the time for your great change?

DuJun First of all, I can think of two periods and that was when I was in high school and in recent years? In school, I was preparing myself for the entrance exam to the College of Physical Education. I liked dancing and singing in front of people but I didn't think of being an entertainer. I thought it was a life for others and not for me. When I gathered courage to walk in the path as a celebrity, that was my life's first change. Lately, I've been feeling a change in my emotions/feelings. I come to think that I am becoming an adult slowly. My older sister, who's 30 years old this year, married. I paid a bit for the wedding and sent her on her honeymoon as a present. After the wedding, I received a call from my mother. She said, "Because of you the wedding ended comfortably and well, thank you." I felt as if I've become an adult suddenly. My parents were always people who I could depend on. But I felt as if I became a strength for my parents and I felt a mix of emotions when they showed their dependence on me. I came to think that I should be more mature mentally.

─ Yoon DuJun's fans say that their hearts beat 'DuJun-DuJun' and not 'Doogeun-Doogeun' (sound effect of the heart beating in Korean). Then what is the chemistry that makes Yoon DuJun's heart beat?

DuJun I think the chemistry and looking sexy at first glance is similar but at the same time different. I think that a women is sexy when I stand with her in front of the mirror and we match each other physically. I feel a lot of the chemistry in the conversation. I really dislike awkwardness. I also have a timid side so I'm shy with others. When I'm with someone and the atmosphere feels like it's awkward, then I can't stand it. I have a good chemical reaction when a women can resolve that atmosphere. I like to talk naturally and comfortably.

─ A real man! That's the overall image when we think of Yoon DuJun. Is the Yoon DuJun that Yoon DuJun knows a bit different?

DuJun I guess the appearance that is portrayed through the screen is that. Right from the appearance there is a roughness. In reality though, I'm really shy and I have a lot of tears. In fact, I'm blood type A (laughs).

─ If you are given a perfect day during spring time?

DuJun There has been only once when I felt 'today feels like spring' during my lifetime. I don't remember the date but it was 1PM. Only the forsythia (flower) were in bloom. After finishing our work at Ilsan's MBC I went to the lake park with GiKwang and there the sunshine and wind, the scenery spread out before me made me think that 'this is really spring'. The air was filled with flower scents from the nearby flower exhibition and it made a person feel emotional. If I can recall back that day, then I want to go back to that place and fully feel the spring once more. In truth, I dislike spring the most among the four seasons. I have pollen allergy. In the perfect spring day there aren't any yellow dust and fine dust, right? Then please take out the flower pollen too (laughs).  

─ It's the last question. What makes your heart beat right now?

DuJun The upcoming album. I think I'll meet everyone as BEAST's Yoon DuJun around the end of April. I feel my heart fluttering but I also feel really nervous.
