UW: Since January's interview with the reporters, how would you describe the changes and improvements in the group?
Doojoon: During this period, we came out with a new album <<SHOCK OF THE NEW ERA>>, and won first on <<M countdown>>, (workwise) progressive improving.
UW: Whats your feeling on winning the Best Newcomer Award for the 19th Seoul Music Award during the start of this year? How did you overcome the stress of being an idol? How did you relieve stress normally?
Junhyung: Winning an award would not create any stress. However, after getting an award, everybody would raise their expectations of us, so we felt a heavy burden on our shoulder. Every time we stand on stage and every time we're with fans, we will give our best to perform and enjoy the love that our fans gave us. This will be the best way to relieve our stress.
Kikwang: By watching movies, I'm able to to release the inner stress in me and forgot all the worries. (laugh)
HS : Mine is to play video games.
UW: Since debut, which performance is the one where you guys felt the most nervous? Why?
Doojoon: Nothing has compared to October of last year as we stood on stage for the 1st time for our debut. There is no time I was more nervous as compared to then.
Kikwang: Ah...I think the recent performance of Dream Concert. Aside from Junhyung, to go onstage, we jump up from under the stage. That is the time I felt super nervous.
Hyunseung: I think I will be super nervous every time I get an award. Although I always tell myself to relax, every time we get an award, I still feel super nervous.
UW: Did you guys want to be idols/singers since you were young? If you could choose again, will you still choose to become an idol?
Dongwoon:: Being an idol is our dream, we have always been improving ourselves towards this dream. We have been working hard to walk towards this dream, thankfully we are able to achieve this dream.
Yoseob: If I had to choose again, to be able to do other things that I have yet to try should be interesting.
Junhyung: Actor? (Laugh)
Hyunseung: Entrepreneur? (Laugh)
UW: What's the greatest pressure and encouragment after gaining fame?[/color]
Junhyung: The biggest encouragment is getting fans' love and support. Although this seem to be an old set of answers, we really do think this way. Well, due to everybody's support, they will expect more from us. We also wish to strive to work harder and to fufill their expectations of us.
HYUNSEUNG UNABLE TO WAKE UP?
UW: We knew that CUBE Entertainment has arranged for you to have a bigger dorm due to the good sales of the 1st and 2nd albums. How do you feel about the passion of the fans?
Doojoon: I feel kind of surprised. Although we have already set a target for ourselves, after reaching it, it's still a shocking feeling. Setting such a goal, we also fork out the same amount of hard work to achieve our success. No matter what, we are happy for the assurance of our hard work. In my heart, I'm appreciative. The road to the future is still long, we will work hard for our future.
UW: What's the feeling after changing to a new dorm? What do you think of the new dorm?
Doojoon: The feeling is good, the living room is spacious.
Yoseob: The room is brighter, so my feeling is lighter.
Junhyung: As the space is big, we can stay like 1 family, gathering together to eat, interact and communication also became better.
UW: Aside from changing dorms, what else do you wish to get from your company?
Doojoon: What type of compensation ah....
Hyunseung: Although we have been granted holidays, but who would say their holidays are a lot? Please give a few more days.
Kikwang: Not only do we wish for this, I support all artists' wish which is to rest.
Junhyung: If we need to bargain, let us have more rights in talking. (Laugh)
UW: Since the January interview with <<U-Weekly>>, is there a change in lifestyle for Doojoon (regarding cleanliness)? Is Kikwang still the same,loving to laze around in bed?
Yoseob: Doojoon's habits are still the same as last time.
Doojoon: They're not! I haven't been pushing my clothes to the bed already!
Kikwang: Initially, I wanted to keep a habit of sleeping and waking up early. However, I have recently been addicted to reading comics…so it's still the same as the past, sleeping at a very late time.
UW: Confess your contribution to the group. What are your good or bad points?
Hyunseung: I'm very sorry to the members; I'm always lazing around on the bed, unable to wake up.
Junhyung: Thanks to Hyunseung, all the other members wake up easily.
UW: In the group, which member do you admire? Why?
Hyunseung: Doojoon. Because he is the leader. He has very good leadership skills and is our speaking representative.
Doojoon: Not the only representative okay. (Laugh)
UW: Who in the group has the most popularity?
Everybody: Yoseob
Junhyung: Every member, including the fans, has got different taste. (Laughs)
WISH TO LEARN NEW LANGUAGES
UW: 4Minute has already started their promotions in Japan, do you guys wish to enter the Japanese market too?
Yoseob: Since debut training, we already knew 4minute would have such results, we're very happy for them. Of course, BEAST wishes to enter the Japanese market too. We are in the midst of preparations, preparing ourselve to give our best image to the fans in Japan.
UW: According to the media, Dongwoon is currently learning Chinese. Why do you especially want to study Chinese?
Dongwoon:: I'm currently learning however I'm not sure if I can learn it well. If everybody waits for my Chinese language skills, I will try my utmost and hopefully I can shock everybody. Since I was young, people around me spoke Chinese. So, from then on, I started learning Chinese.
UW: Do the other members wish to learn new languages? Why?
Doojoon: I want to learn English because participating in MBC Sunday Night Dambi will require us to travel oversea to film and I realize the importance of English to communicate with others.
Junhyung: I also want to learn English because rap requires lots of English.
Yoseob: I want to learn Japanese. As I have before, I want to continue learning to strengthen my Japanese language skills, so when we promote in Japan, I can shine handsomely. (Laugh)
Hyunseung: I have the same feeling. (Laugh)
UW: Last month, you guys went to Kyungbo with a group of fans to spend 1 night and 2 days? Can you share in regards to the experience you guys spent with the fans for the very first time?
Doojoon: It is the first time we have prepared this activity. There were about 60 fans attending. If there were still more fans participating, it would be good. About 10 members in 1 team, we individually led them as leaders. We played games, dined together, talked together, and talked about what we are good at. We even prepared a small music showcase. The feeling is even better than a school field trip as it's more interesting.
Dongwoon:: It was an opportunity not to get disturbed and only spend happy times with fans. The feeling is good.
Yoseob: We were able to express ourselve freely. It's diferent from seeing us on the television and in performances, allowing the fans to see our charm and character in private. (Laugh)
Kikwang: At the start, I was worried I wouldn't know how to spend time with the fans. After spending some time with each other, surprisingly, we were chatting as though we were very good friends. The time spent together was enjoyable and pleasant. Everybody spent their time together because of BEAST, it moved me.
