For the recent couple of years, idol groups have been taking over. Amongst the many boy and girl groups, there were a lot of new appearances but also exits. With a lot of teams coming in at once, the battle between idol groups in order to survive was brutal. Of course, this is still continuing till this day.
Amongst the idol groups, the feverous battle continues since in the current music scene, it's not difficult for a new boy group to snag a spot as a popular team. The reality is that if you're not a group registered under the big 3 companies SM, YG, & JYP whom show a powerful means of promotion, it's not easy in becoming a famous idol group within a short time period.
However, there is a team who've entered this competition as they've broken the standards just within one year of their debut as they've risen to one of the top boy groups.
BEAST, consisting of members Yoon Doojoon, Lee Kikwang, Yang Yoseob, Yong Junhyung, Jang Hyunseung, and Son Dongwoon, made their debut last October as they've made hits straight with the songs 'Mystery,' 'Shock,' and others as they've for sure gained a fixed position as one of the popular idol groups. Within one year of their debut, BEAST not only became a popular idol group but members Yoon Doojoon & Lee Kikwang who engaged in the shows 'Danbi' and 'Hot Brothers' of MBC 'Sunday Sunday Night.'
Not stopping, BEAST has released a new album and has caused another storm with their current title song 'Soom.' Always showing off their match made in heaven combination, famous producer Shinsadong Tiger created 'Soom' to have a fast beat in becoming a strong dance song, receiving good critiques for showcasing BEAST's manliness well.
Unlike new groups, BEAST has shown memorable performances along with earning a friendly mask after making their debut into the music industry. Soon enough, they rose as idol groups of star status and is continuing in their victorious roll. However, BEAST members said in unison, "Right now is the true beginning" as they did not falter.
The magnae Son Dongwoon said, "When we first made our debut, our official fan café consisted of 3,000 members but now it's 120,000 people, increasing by forty times." He also said, "That is why it's given for us to work even harder" as he showed a smile. He continued by saying, "If it is a mountain we have to climb, then BEAST has only wore our hiking boots" and "We will work harder and climb up slowly."
Yong Junhyung said, "Within such a short amount of time, we're very thankful in receiving so much love" and "In order to repay that love, we will work harder than what we have done as of now."
Leader Yoon Doojoon said, "Now is the true beginning" and "We want to work even harder through 'Soom' promotions to let BEAST be known to even more people."
Last year around the time of their debut, their goal of receiving a rookie award at the end of the year was achieved as this year they've achieved nearly half of their biggest goal overseas.
All six members have dreamt of having their own concert once the year had begun. Just recently, they have made the decision and even chosen a date for their very first concert. On December 12th, BEAST will be having their first concert in the Seoul Olympic Stadium.
Yang Yoseob said, "Whenever we had time, we would practice dancing and singing as we want to show a perfected side of ourselves for our first concert."
Lee Kikwang said, "I think that there are more people who do not know BEAST than those who know us" and "So once we finish 'Soom' promotions, we hope to surely let ourselves be known through our first concert."
Jang Hyunseung said, "One year can be a short amount of time but we worked hard in coming to where we are today" and "We're able to stand a bit more at ease than our debut days. With that reason and effort, we want to show our different charms through our first concert all at once."
With a determined yet humble image they showcase all at once, these six members are receiving attention already for the results of what they will create.
